Travel from Managua or Liberia, Costa Rica is approximately 2 hours. Rental Cars are available, however if you are renting a suite with an ATV it may not be necessary to have a vehicle once in San Juan.

Travel by taxi from Managua is also readily available for approximately $6o US, for up to three people. Any of the cabs waiting in front of the airport will gladly take you to SJDS.
If renting a car we recommend one of the subcompact SUVs. The roads in the area are not good, if you are not going to have one of our ATVs available a 4 wheel drive vehicle will be a great advantage for getting back and forth to the Inn and to all of the best beaches. Four wheel-drive is not essential, but it is highly recommended. Small SUVs rent for around $35 daily w/o insurance and are less expensive when rented at the airport.
